I liked the comment "remember, India football is all about Mohun Bagan".

    Way to go, Man!

@Deb_Ban: My first point was what is so unnatural about some 500 odd fans cheering for their team--whichever team--in a rented stadium? My using of the words 'Bangal blood' and 'maira phelum kaita phelum' was not an assertion of any superiority complex or anything of that sort but only a jocular rejoinder to some people's (the usual suspects) deliberately trying to provoke East Bengal supporters by referring to their East Bengal origins and trying to belittle them as having run away from their birth-land. I at least have never used the word' ghoti' in a derogatory sense and i have time and again tried to refrain guys like @EastBengalPride from using insulting words against MB. So, I did not understand your rather unsavoury jibe about us looking for tournaments in Bangladesh to get for glory. As you must be aware, Bangladesh has preserved the Bengali culture and Bengali literature much better than us, people in West Bengal. This I do not speak as a Bangal (my Bangal roots are anyway very tenuous), but from what I have read in contemporary Bengali literature and heard from people who have gone to Bangladesh. Nowadays, at least in football scouting, it is outstripping us too. I have no hesitation in seeking glory in football tournaments in Bangladesh, the only thing is that some people would not take kindly to your comments.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rigorous Logic has no answer to my queries--why Wedson should be called poor man's Norde and when we manhandled our players?

500 fans in a practice session should not get into one's head so much to say (foolishly), "...Kuber Bose's money will get you bucket seats, floodlights, expensive signings, even ACs but not fans...." [the bold fonts are yours, italics are mine]. You may be a true-blue Bangal, but if you want me to accept what you had said, I would have to label you a simpleton, like your fellow supporter who also tried to prove the same by putting up the picture of empty stands.

I am assuming by 'fans' you meant supporters, not ceiling fans (as you have listed seats, lights and ACs).

One practice day & the fight club has taken off......that's great.
This year EB is the team to beat.....beware Mohun Bagan & BFC......they have Angus (one of the best defenders to have played in India !!! no joke), Do Dong (who has proven himself in last I-League), Wedson (not yet confirmed & may not be confirmed at all), most likely the young prodogy Penn Orji. Then most importantly a Coach who helped Dempo to relegate.....KBFC to the last spot in ISL & more recently could install a Lajong fobia to his players. Though they could not get Debjit, Pritam, Katsumi & Sony Norde....they are likely  to get  Sandesh, Jeje, Balwant & a host of quality Indian players, really everybody is scared   Interestingly they have a high profile British Coach, British Assistant Coach, expectedly an Indian Assistant Coach, a GK Coach who during his last I-League shown every one what goal keeping is all about plus Sammy Omelo (in what role.....not yet clear).

I still don't get your point. You still don't mention why you were surprised by 500 fans in a session in the first instance. You next point I partially concede: the 500 fans had not got into my head as you assume but I was simply trying to point out that East Bengal supporters have been more vocal over the years and since  large no. of Bangals are clustered in Kolkata, it has often given them a fillip. Yes, i agree that i should have worded it differently and bucket seats, floodlights, expensive signings, ACs (just to add some humour to the post)was not needed. However, if that makes me a simpleton, so be it. I would happily be a simpleton than a know-it-all (not referring to you or any other member of this forum). However, I am at a loss as to why you should have taken recourse to the 'Bangladesh' slur for criticizing me. You could have responded just as you did in the previous post. You have not explained the reason for doing so. Defending the indefensible is hard, I know. Also, you have mentioned in a different post that Bangladesh is the rightful place of EB supporters and that is where they should be sent. I will reply to that post in that thread itself. Cheers.

Aah! u remember the incident of 70s involving Bablu and Prasun, but u very cleverly try and forget instances when you guys garlanded ur players with shoes (remember the match against Aryan few years back! ?)

Also how discreetly u chose to not respond/react to Kalyan's now famous statement - that players should be kicked out(its been only about a couple of months since he said so , and am assuming that the "brenolia" effect can help u to remember 70s incidents, then certainly it can remind u of 2016 incident also)!
