The main reason of confusion is because AFC is looking to provide the teams who were knocked out from the first round with an opportunity to earn some point.(else those teams have been F*****)
The status of Kuwait is also a source of confusion. Kuwait games may be declared Null or Kuwait will enter the qualification process at the later stage as in playoffs once they are able to satisfy FIFA. Same way Indonesia can also return atleast for AFC asia cup Qualification Process.
Whatever this format is at least all asian nations (perhaps most)are getting some good international matches.... else our federation would have not even organised a match against anyone..
@shankar ; It is like "Chaar Din ki Chandni, Uske baad Andheraa". I mean that by clubbing WCQ with AFC Asia Cup Qualifier, this is the only serious international matches we are playing in this season. After that Back to SAFF Cup for 4 years.
if we reach next round there is another few set of matches on cards... any day it is better to play 14-16 afc/wc qualifiers than just getting out in first round and play nothing
