What do you know? First sign of an Indian talent who could potentially play in at least the 2nd or 3rd tier of top European Leagues and be effective. May he continue his growth. Maybe we can get to see him at Preston or Nottingham forest like clubs in the future. Zola!!
  • so where do we go to troll the nepali football fans ? :p

Subrata- Makes his own defense nervous with constant shouting of push up-push as if he wants them to perform push ups instead of going up the field- Better have Gurpreet in the semis

Narayan Das- Really poor performance..carrying on from last game..this guy at the moment is not good enough..cant even trap at times..crossing is very poor..poor covering for the first goal from BG..basically lack of a killer instinct and commitment.. Chauntea is in the sqaud and slightly better but loosing out due to no International experience

Khongjee- Looked out of place and nervous as if playing for the first time..except for one decent tackle he was outpaced most of the time..such a player does not deserve India jersey..not sure what Wim saw in him to bring him to NT

Augustine- Can do much better..literally broke down in 2nd half..could not clear, mishits and even cant make out his team mate is next to him..unneccessary clearance when possession can be kept..no wonder SC was scared and took him off..gives no confidence to a coach..A fit Anas might have even closed down NT doors for Augustine.

Pritam-This guy I think is low on confidence right now due to less game time in ISL..he is much better than this..only mistake was when he was easily brushed off a shoulder charge by 19 yo Anjan Bista which led to the goal..very embarrasing mistake indeed..at the moment Rino Anto moderately better than him but then he too was really bad in ISL.

Sanju- Poor guy when he was in his peak 5 years back was never picked up for NT..now having lost pace he is average even in front of SAFF nations..he can still do better though atleast in terms of crossing and finishing

Rowlin- Find of the tournament..was playing so confidently that it was hard to believe he's a newbie..many oldies should have learnt from him..has good dribbling skills also and a very cool finish for the goal which might have been missed by most..In my opinion better than D.Ganesh who SC used earlier but can give a tough fight to sehnaj because of his better passing range..also keep in mind he snatched Pranoy's position easily in this tourney

Eugene- Calm and composed as always..good distribution..SAFF oponents easy for him but will easily struggle against stronger and faster opposition..yet to see a good freekick or lang range from him for India..However he must be tired after ISL so might have played within himself

Jairu- Headless/toothless..basically not good enough for NT jersey..could have atleast crossed better but couldnt do that also..glad that he played 90 mins which might have saved some regular player for the semis..hope this is the last we see of him

Holi- I doubt he will ever score..only knows running thats all..should take retirement from international football to save his domestic career and us fans also.we may see him in Div 2 soon hopefully

Jeje- Best player to break a good move for his own team...I see its very obvious he does not put his best efforts as he's already tired..may only be able to score from tap ins etc..against bigger opposition can only be used to shield the ball thats it

SC- Dont want to say anthing negative as long as he scores..guy must be more tired than any other player in the squad..always well marked..he deserves some rest

Changte- Simply no words :D ..hope he closes the doors for the likes of Francis etc..will be interesting to see how he copes against tougher opposition..remember he is just a kid

Performance by Rowlin and Zuala Changte has shown that you dont have to go abroad to get noticed and hyped for National Team. It is the performance which counts. Romeo, Brandon, Udanta, Uttam went abroad and were knocking on the doors but it is players like Zuala and Rowlin who are the winners. Nothing beats performing for National Team.
