This is the acid test for the team to check how far have they progressed as a group. So fingers crossed and hope we make it to the final round of Olympic qualifiers.Indian team would be happy to get away with ad raw or a 1 goal margin in the first leg and grind the Qataris out in the 2nd.
The incessant rain may just refuse to go away but that isn’t affecting the morale of the boys at India’s U-23 Pre-Olympic Preparatory Camp in Pune. With the practice schedule being affected, it stays normal for the Team Coach to get a bit impatient. But Desmond Bulpin is a different man altogether.
“The pitch is really good, but unfortunately the weather isn’t permitting us to get enough practice. But modern football goes much beyond practice sessions. So when we are not at the ground, we prefer indoor sessions,” he said.
The team will attend the camp till June 15 from where they will proceed to Qatar. According to the coach the team is gelling well and looks ready for the challenge. “The boys look positive and the best part stays all are keen to learn. It’s a good sign,” he added.
“The boys are a happy family at the moment and that’s important.”
Despite being the U-23 squad, Bulpin believes the boys are mature enough to rise to the occasion. “They have been together for more than a year now. This should help them on the field,” he maintained.
Bulpin informed the teams will be working on the defensive organisation when the boys hit the pitch in the next practice session.
He has nothing except for the hieght! Good that u excluded him from the 1st XI
Somesh if Gurpeet Sandhu reads your quote it may have a demoralising effect on him. My request to all members at IFNF is to refrain themselves from negative comments atleast on the players till the qualifiers are over. Let us stand united in supporting our team
I had the same concern. But I thought it might have a positive effect too! He might get a reality check and start working on his basics..who knows

His reactions(One of most important attribute of a GK) is very poor,he needs to improve it badly.
We will cut him into pieces if the results are bad at the qualifiers where he played. Right now there is no enough time for anything for him to do. This is our best team & we have no other choice other than be with them. A win will make them instant heroes as i feel the days of cricket as number one sport in India is numbered.
