• end of the game and we lose 3 1...more than the result what worries me is d way in which we played the game...the aiff Technical Committee whilst sacking bob houghton said that the style in which india played disappointed them.."I AM SURE THEY ENJOYED THIS PERFORMANCE"...the team did their best..but sometimes i wonder if this is the team that is our hope for the future and if this is how they will play things dont look so bright...we have to change our style of play..taking no credit away from our guys but the qatari's were far superior...can we overcome the 2 goal deficit? lets hope so but personally i wouldnt want india to play like this and go through..that will create a sense of false pride!anyways hope india win the next leg and play a bit better..chak de!

Very sad state. Sorry guys, was not online during the game. Had so much hope, i didnt want any distractions. But I am seriously heart broken to see our "future". Des Bulpin seems an idiot to me. Has no tactics under his belt. I m loosing hope very fast..

No difference betwn Bob and Bulpin playing style.
I cant understand why AIFF form INDIAN ARROWS if we want to continue with long ball style.
And English coach frm Tottenham academy and technical director too..
Ofcourse they will play with long ball.just like tottenham spurs..like gallas to Bale to crouch header to midfield and then to striker..
And same style India played..the difference is India dont have tall players like Bale, crouch and Gallas..

I say that there was no coordination between the two central defenders. Sabeeth and the midfielders went missing for large times of the match. After todays result i say we sack bulpin after Olympic qualifiers.

Indian players can play passing football only when they are taught to do so.With jeje as striker and playing long ball is like watching an obscenbe movie. This is why Houghton been sacked and I am happy about it.This Des Bullpin should be immediately replaced with someone from europe.I am not expecting anything in home leg.If we can manage a draw that would be great.
• I have been always saying this and I will say it again - English Coaches rarely, rarely think outside the box. As long as our obsession with English managers continue the teams will play like this. I got a lot of flak in Orkut when I posted Subrata Bhattacharya's comment after Chirag-IA match in I-League. Subrata criticised the style of play of IA and said they were very one-dimensional (note he didnt say players were bad). Subrata indulges in a lot of unwarranted comments at times..but he was right there.

Really can't blame the players after this performance(Except Arnab Mondal),individually most of them are good but lacked proper tactics and match practice to face a team like Qatar.

Mr Bulpin's tactics are bullshit,it looked India were playing with only 7 players where rest of the 4 midfielders looked like headless chicken running around the ground.Opposition coach could easily read the tactics and no wonder they scored 2 goals in 2nd half and the scoreline could have been 5-1,6-1(but thanks to goal posts, poor finishing etc).

Except for the first 30 mins of the match everything else was pain to eyes, especially 2nd half WTF was Mr Bulpin thinking ??

Disappointing effort from AIFF,6 days camp was that enough ??

About 2018 World Cup qualification, guys please stop expecting these unrealistic targets there is no way this team will be amongst top 5 in Asia.Except for Raju and Jeje there isn't much spark in the team to reach such heights.

Hope they can keep India in top 20(Asia) and top 130 in World Rankings.

if junior teams are coached by these english coaches...who coaches the defender to get the ball to striker and no use of midfield......we should even stop dreaming about qualification to world cup.....these long balls are most unattractive style of play....had that not for first 30 mins....we were not worth of playing at this level...i would say

I know everyone is upset and they ought to be because of the lofty ambitions we have as these guys r our future. But after seeing the match yesterday the people have been complaining abt India's style of play adopted by Bulpin and bob.But in fairness after watching the match i don't think it was the coache's fault.First of all u need to have the technical ability and skill to play like what u guys r telling them to and in fairness our players lack way behind on that front, bcoz of the faulty coaching in their formative years. So to be fair i don't think Bulpin's side could have played that way. Even before these foreign coaches came how many matches had we lost by 5-0,7-0 to even teams like Malaysia .So lets give him some time bcoz these technical flaws cant be corrected within a few weeks.
