I actually feel if the new proposed structure does kick in, and works (fingers crossed) you have a good sustainable environment for players to play in.
I beleive if we can get the infra better we can actually churn out players younger and less raw than we have now.
Whilst I agree with him that the new plan has emboldened Chennai FC and Chennai Utd to dip their feet into League 2 & work on theirrespective youth development teams.... the churning out younger players is what makes me laugh...
All the clubs are spending a ridiculously disproportionate amount on the 1st team....and neglecting the youth.... and this turned is set to continue...
Tell me where is the revamp of the U19 League... We are spending 1000+ crores on this new format but we don't have the basics like
U18 LEAGUE..and 4 other age groups below it. At least regional youth leagues should be part of this plan.
I know the guys who made this plan...and how it came about...so I know that the missing parts do not concern the powers that be
1)KBFC in talks with Italian Attilio Lombardo for the position of coach. He has coached crystal palace and worked as assistant manager of famous clubs like Manchester City,Schalke and Galatasaray. So he should be considered as the perfect man to rescue the club after a disappointing season last year. 2)KBFC in talks with Brazilian Gustavo Do Santos. The Brazilian played for Delhi Dynamoes the last couple of season and some sources indicate that the deal has already been made. 3)KBFC has failed to make a deal with Haokip of FC Goa as the player rejected the offer of 50 lakh by KBFC and expressed his intrest for continuing in FC Goa.
Gaffer, Not sure how you can riducule the most obvious thing that stares us. Lots of players are needed.
You with ur half glass full approach amd know it all attitude cannot be taken into consideration for something which is yet to happen and its ridiculous to call fans who think there is a change needed to the mundane fact that "you know it wont work".
Here is another case study, U-15 emboldened a small club like Mahagony FC play at a national level. Which was not possible before, Those are small steps never possible before for our regions. If new clubs like Minerva, Fateh, Lonestar along woth Mahagony have brought in fresh young players from new geographies which was not possible a couple of years back. If that isnt churning of youngsters what else is that in your book?
Or are you posting all these pessimistic and ridiculing posts because your fav regions are slowly facing to the fact future plans dont necessarily help the usual suspects in the football scene?
What next, Vet each of our posts with you to see if thats negative enough in this forum?
@DX the difference in between half knowledge and knowledge is what makes you think the Glass is full whereas I know whether the glass is half full or half empty....it is cracked.,
Go speak to Rohit Ramesh, Varun Tripuraneni and others in Chennai football ( youth and lower league that is )
They all looking at jumping into the U15 and U18 leagues....BUT how....
Let's all go poach 18 yr old school from the NorthEast and try to be successful.
The investment isn't in a systematic way that help help create players in TN where are the efforts in Dindigul, Salem , Ooty , Coimbatore etc.
That's not glamorous enough... they want instant gratification..and that's where it will not be sustainable.
I am not negative for the sake of being negative...I am a tad bit more informed on the reality in your State !
People in this forum see negativity for any comment which do not suite them. That's not correct. One has to empty the cup to take in other thoughts. and it is both ways.\
Its true at-least baby steps being taken and is a very commendable effort going on while on the other hand this instant penchant for glory inevitably ruins the system's objective overall. All criticism should be taken on board, analyzed and rectify possibilities. Instead we just go hung about a path, without analyzing proper enough.
