So you are saying all this based on Heresay or Future plans from the Owners? Dissappointed mate, Lets see the facts at this nascent stage. Lets take 3 clubs as case studies ok who want to be part of youth leagues?
Mahagony FC - Competed in U-15 league. There team focusses mainly on kids from Chennai, Coimbatore, Tutucorin, Thanjavur etc.
Chennai United FC (Varun's Team) - Started Schools Premier league (Among Chennai Schools) last season to select top players from the U-14/15 categories to be part of possible Future Academy. They have started the SPL 2016 too now. Again made up of Chennai School children.
Chennai City FC - Their Youth team (U-18) played the Singa cup in SG, most of em are from Local Tamil kids.
Regarding Investments...Do you even know how much money these Amateur clubs are willing to spend? Football in Tamil nadu is still very Nascent, Hell even Chennai FA does not have money to pay EB to allow clubs play under floodlights in May. How will these clubs conduct investments and camps across the state? Expecting that is ridiculous.
Capturing a young NE player may and will happen in the future as these clubs become more professional than the current Amateur level but the painting a wrong picture in the AS-IS reality is wrong as the same way you brush aside anyone's opinion.
