Weifang Cup - Indian u19 will participate

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has confirmed the participation of the U-19 national team in the Weifang Cup, Weifang City, China. The tournament kicks-off on July 31st, 2011.
While teams like FC Benfica, FC Guadalajara Chivas, China’s U-19 national team, FC Chunna Dragons and FC Shandong have already confirmed their participation, the U-19 national team will also face stiff competition from teams from England, Spain, Korea, Japan, Australia and Chile.
Kushal Das, the General Secretary of the AIFF said, “The All India Football Federation is fully committed to give the U-19 and U-16 teams as much as international exposure as possible as these teams will form the core of the senior national team in the future,” only to add: “We wish the U-19 team success in the tournament.”
The U-19 national squad, presently coached by Colin Toal will be assembling in Goa on April 28 as part of the preparatory camp for the event.
