As I had mentioned in one of my comments earlier, Bagan's Tughlaq mgmt finds Kamo to be a better player than Duffy! No wonder Indian football and I-League has become a laughing stock!
This is one reason I hate those 'direct entry' clubs as against the clubs who come via promotion. The direct entry clubs are expected to bring in the much needed financial liquidity, professionalism, organisation and such good qualities whereas in reality we see them worse off than the clubs already in circulation even in Division II. At least the promotee clubs are serious in their intent.
Part of the blame goes to AIFF (apart from the obvious clubs themselves). By undermining I-league continually, they have made it unattractive to the corporates, and then they loosen the criteria of getting in. In the process the league gets loaded with shadowy and doubtful entities who quit after an year or so, after fulfilling the number game of PP.
Instead of those, AIFF should have expanded the league by promotion route only. Doing it this way they would have, at least, got serious entities albeit the clubs would have to be guided for a season or two. Primarily, the league structure should have been strengthened, though this has been discussed here a million times (a good start would have been to sack Dhar, whose reason for existence is not clear to anyone; and also Das, a designated embarrassment to Indian football).
The fault is on AIFF and IMG-Reliance! It was good at first with Bengaluru FC but after that we had some baffling choices like Bharat, before with Dodsal, and then after that we only did direct-entry to make up numbers. It was destined to fail.
Tell me which coach(barring a Sanjoy Sen)wants to/have shown any interest for the ensuing season to take up an assignment with Bagan, when u replace a Duffy with Kamo!!!!

and now BFC are set to leave
I-League has no future with such clubs
AIFF needs to be more serious

Both are high profile job, yet there are no applicants! No one wants to be the coach of Indian Cricket Team and Mohun Bagan
