None of the ISL clubs will afford to give a salary higher than USD 200,000. That is the max they can do within salary cap. With that avg salary 8 foreigners would cost about Rs 10 crores, leaving the rest 8 crores for 17 Indian players which is very tight. So you see the quality of foreign players will drop. Teams in l-League have signed foreigners on salaries higher than USD 200k. The likes of Sony, Ranti, Odafa,Hernandez, Beto were paid like that. USD 200k is very little for a full season. Javi Lara was paid USD 300k for 4 months last year. The math simply won't work this time. So expect some avg foreign plyrs this time. An alternative would be if clubs sign the min 5 foreigners instead of max 8 foreigners. That would free up some budget within salary cap and maybe someone like Marcelinho will be affordable
Indian cream except few don't deserve more than 50L . 5 players from cream = 2.5 crore 10 new faces = 2.5 crore 8 foreigners = 13 crore 5 good foreigners = 10 crore including Asians . Rest in 3 crore
