Under Stimac, we are more confident with the ball. Love to see such football. Previously we were unable to even complete one or two passes while playing against such high ranked teams. It will take some time, but it is definitely better than randomly kicking the ball in the air and hoping for some Chhetri miracles.
Great Result Guys!!! Congratulations to all the members(Positive ones of course). Probably one of the best result of our History.This result will have everyone talking for sure in nit onlyIndia but in the World as well(I am sure).We did this without Chhetri lol.
First of all, many thanks to the Players and the Coach(They really deserve a huge round of applause and Credit).They really gave their heart and soul for the Team. Now, Regarding the Match:-
I feel the members are reading too much into the Shots(27 odd). Almost 80-90% of them looping headers or long shots(30 m out). Credit must go to our Defence for that,with Gurpreet being the leader ofcourse(Man of the Match).They had only 4-5 clear cut chances in my opinion which is actually phenomenol performance from our defence and midfield (to keep them at that number)
Midfield was good and so was Manvir(gave his absolute all,won his fair share of headers as well).
Had Sahal,Thapa and Udanta been slightly better at passing and shooting then we could have scored on the break as well but that would be too greedy.
There were multiple situations for us where we could have punished them but I guess we can't really blame the players.
In the last match as well I said,that most of our players were okay,only two individual errors from Rahul cost us the match.
Today,I would say that everyone gave their all and today belongs to everyone if them including the coaches and every Indian(Football fan and every member of this forum).
One last thing I would say is that we are improving without a shadow of a doubt.If we can achieve this result with these players ,then in 5-7 years when our U-19 and U-16 players will be forming the core of the team then sky would be the limit for us.
FOR NOW, CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE, ENJOY YOUR SLEEP,WE DESERVE IT.
Gurpreet is a standout player.. CB Sandesh Jhingan & Adil Khan, Udanta & Sahal had a good game.. mainly Sahal is great find to Indian NT.. Thapa & Rahul are also ok..excluding last clearance from Rahul.. Mandar, Poojari , Manvir & Rowllin are awful initially.. but once settled down, they have done well..
Overall nice game plan by coach & management.. kudos to entire team..

Poojary was very bad in this game. Chhangte or Ashique should be starting at all times over him without any doubt.
