Am I being trolled here? :P
Or is this Stimac masquerading as Kool  on this forum..:) But seriously @Kool buddy, I don't "need" to help you understand "my" methodology (come to think of it, how is it mine anyways. Its being used coaches all over the world). If you are interested in knowing more about football and its various formations, strategies, methodologies, rules etc then READ UP on it or watch more matches, listen to pre match and post match studio discussions, or play football manager as a last resort! :P

    Hello everyone -
I was going through some reports on indias performance in recent WCQ matches. As a recap Just have a questions and would like to know what you guys think about it.
Their player effort means - no chance for us to prevent the goal.
Our player mistake means -  straight forward that player screwed up at international level.
    ---
Ind vs Bng match - how did Bangla score, is it their players effort or our player mistake?
Ind vs Afg match - how did Afgan score, is it their players effort or our player mistake?
Ind vs Oman match - how did Oman score - is it their players effort or our player mistake?
    ---
Based on this - how do we conclude on these, that opponents played better or we played bad with so many crucial mistakes? In that case what should be the resolution to solve these issues? Please provide your thoughts on this pls … Appreciate your time/effort.

I really think Igor Stimac is on this forum and trying to justify his horrible tactics which led to horrendous results by NT :)

@Chelseafan - I am neither Stimac supporter nor Stephen hater. I just like football, does not matter who the coach is, I rationally analyze what is happening. I never downgraded Stephen or his approach. Stephen did his job with in the parameters he was provided with and I respect that. But he is gone and end of story. Now some one else is coach and what is wrong in talking the current coach. Presently - who is the NT coach and how the team is playing is what I am focused on. If Stephan or someone else is a national coach now, I would be talking the same about them. There is a clear distinction - I am not obsessed with SC counter attacking style as you are, it could be used as a strategy during a match as needed and not as the only style of play is my argument. I am just focusing on the present and what is happening now and trying to stay in present and future and not ranting about something happened in the past and complaining about the present. If someone fails to understand the different sorry I cannot help. Just like every one I have the same right to express my opinion, and i am doing that in a positive way. More over you do not decide who the coach is, so you can keep crying and whining all you want regarding the past. Feel free to support your arguments with facts and proven results, I would be more than happy to accept your argument. Is there anything wrong about talking about current coach and how current system works? … :)

I am not a fan of Stimac's playing 11 but I do like it that he's saying things like I want my Indian players to be fearless,to beat the best etc etc..This inspires confidence in the team that their coach believes in them and pushes them harder..This was seriously lacking with Consti who would say that we respect Nepal, Macau etc..they can be very dangerous blah blah
Also Stimac is the first coach to openly say that he will select deserving I league players..this is a very big thing in my opinion. Consti would not even watch ISL forget I league games..He even brought in Venkatesh's nephew into the team!
It's good that Stimac is under pressure right now becuase that's what we want..He cant take this position for granted and make the most of what he is being paid again unlike Consti who wanted to take team on California tours out of his personal interests and was mostly seen vacationing and posting about EPL games

@Ronny - thanks for your views. If @Chelseafan wants my rational analysis on SC tenure I would be more than happy to do little research and provide it here. So every one knows what the facts are … lol  :)  Ronny what about those mistakes? Do you think they are the kind you would expect from an international team/players or not?

Dude no obe is obsessed with Consti or the past. But the reference to consti's era was made because a)Stimac keeps criticizing him implying his predecessor was good for nothing and achieved very kittle, which is untrue, b) you keep on harping that finally India is playing ground passing football, which is also untrue since India's style was slowly evolving over the past few years, and c) Consti had better results than Stimac and the latter's tactics sucks.

Trust me, when Stimac was appointed I was obe of the happiest to see a coach of international pedigree coming to coach India. Stimac was hired to take India, who had already improved considerably (results and raking wise) over the past few years, onto the next level and become a top 10 team of Asia. But so far it doesn't look promising. Tactics wise Stimac has been completely at sea, he doesn't know his best 11 yet, he does not have a settled defence yet, he plays non specialist defenders which makes the team vulnerable and attack wise we are not offering anything.

Of course he has implemented a ground passing game and increased India's possession percentage in matches but most of that is because the defenders and midfielders keep passing the ball among themselves where the opposition players do not press and close down our players. But as soon as midfielders try making forward passes the opposition starts pressing and all our attacks from open play fizzle out. Our players our unable to penetrate their defence with through balls or good crosses. So whats the use of having 70% possession when you have 4 shots on target? And Stimac has also not always chosen players on merit. Where is Soosairaj, seriton, justin, liston, ? And those players that he does have in his team, the good ones, he doesn't play them in crunch matches. Best example was the opening match against Oman. In the second half when Oman was chasing the game and our midfielders were losing possession unnecessarily, he did not bring in Sahal till the 90th minute. Sahal could have stabilised and calmed our midfield by holding on to the ball more. Same thing in return match against Oman. He omitted 2 of India's best technically gifted midfielders in Sahal and thapa. India could never control the midfield in that game.

I understand your emotions but you need to understand that AIFF is our achilesA heel. They have so much happening with FDSL that any sane decision will be questioned. I just hope next set of qualifiers he has more quality. He would have seen all matches and have no excuses what so ever.
