A) India is generally a tropical country with warm climate for almost 9 months of the year (12 months for the southern states). Therefore our players need time to adjust in cold weather that is prevalent in the remaining 2-3 months. Plus risk of injuries increases. Its not merely about players but also about audience. People coming to see matches will be ill prepared to sit out in the cold gor 90 odd minutes. This would drop whatever attendance the matches are getting at the moment. Thus afternoon timings during these months make more sense. Countries in Europe lie particularly in the temperate to arctic latitudes. Germany, Russia etc routinely get snowfall for a large part of 4-5 months. So the players there are naturally acclimatised to such weather (though i do feel sorry for russian players playing in biting cold out on the snow).
Looks like Venkatesh Shanmugam has brought many players on loan from reserve team of Chennayinfc to play for arrows especially on the defence side, with the India u19 conceding early goals in afc u19 qualifiers
Instead of Jongte, Samik Mitra starts and luks like has impressed everyone
Henry Antonay, Sauvrav meher, Ajin Tom all are defenders from Chennayinfc on loan
They also have Aman Chetri there
No idea what is their plan for Arrows.... They could give gametime to isl benchwarmers like Rahim Ali, Deepak Tangri, Komal thatal, Dheeraj Singh instead of giving chances to ileague second division players.... Arrows needs to produce players for national team, not for isl clubs....
Many of these players like Komal thatal could easily get enough playing minutes in I league (like Noarem now playing for Mohun Bagan.) They instead opted for Isl. Now it depends on the coach. There are coaches like Jamshedpur fc coach who gives chances to youngsters. And someone like habbas who is not interested in it.
Those players were lured by their agents into signing big contracts..Sad to see Boris out of the team too. Also that's a good observation, he has removed most of the u19 defenders like Submit Rathi etc and the team has been defensively solid..what baffles me is that Arrows have strikers like Manvir, Hamanpreet who can't even score on a one on one situation
Since the injury Dhanu has gone off from social media becuase he was receiving a lot of flak for daily posts..Similarly Vikram Partap has also stopped posting now
