EB coaching staff to Espada: Look, here is the open net! Do you think you can score or do you need extra motivation? Espada: Tomorrow is my off day...I would be attending a show of "Jawaani Jaaneman"
Vidyasagar: Sir, shall I finally make it to the playing eleven tomorrow?
Crespi: I would definitely pump one goal tomorrow, whichever side of the field it might be
Mario Rivera: Boys, do whatever you feel like doing, I would be relieved if I can somehow manage to kill time
EB the club suffered because of the infighting between Quess and Neetu group. Neetu desperately wanted Quess out anyhow, Quess lost interest subsequently.
Kerala Team was very unlucky today. So many times their ball hit the upright of the post. It was just not their day. One more goal for Mason Robertson. Robin Singh had an average outing today.
So Bagan again manage to scrape thru by a goal (1-0) against Ranjit Bajaj - but not before huffing and puffing in the last 20 mins.
The primary reasons why Bagan looks so embarrassing from 70 mins are a)fitness issue; b) Beitia, who otherwise has carried the Team so far in the entire season is a 70 mins player & hence simply cannot weave passes/unable to control the game; c)Sk. Sahil who is otherwise outstanding as a DM (he is just 18 yrs), gets panicky with a series of attack from opposition( which is expected at this age) in the last quarter.
However, the second goal from Morante was genuine which was disallowed btw.
Two keenly contested games were witnessed today. Mohun Bagan hung on to 1-0 lead. Minerva Punjab played well but could not create much scoring chances. Kiran Limbu for Minerva Punjab was not able to do what Santana is doing for Chennai. Chennai City got another big win against Churchill - their second 3 pointer in past few days. 2-1 was the final score. Chennai side played with a plan. Their defenders were very physical against CXhurchill brothers. Churchill coach lost the plot- Katsumi Yusa latched on to Long Ball and showed them how to break the Defense. Goa side did make a comeback but the Swiss teenager dashed their hopes with a moment of brilliance in dying minutes.
