Willis Plaza scored for Churchill, while Colado ( scored from the rebound after missing the penalty in the last min. of extra-time) salvaged a point for the Red and Golds
EB should have won this match 6-2, but alas we have Marcos and Kromah upfront! An exhibition of goal misses today, EB played with almost 70% possession in second half. Churchill was absolutely dominated, specially in second half.
Rivetting stuff in the I-League. All the matches have been draws today. As people have commented, except for the top spot where MB is currently perched with a comfortable lead of 10 points and the last spot where Arrows are languishing with 8 points, every spot in the table is up for grabs.
@EastBengalPride look like you were watching a different match, if Churchill had taken there chances EB would have been decimated, EB was lucky to win a penalty due to idiotic defending by Suresh in box
Absolutely not. Churchill did have one or two chances (the miss by Lalkhawpuimawia before the break) but it was negligible compared to the chances EB got--Espada, Kromah, Colada, Brandon all of whom missed sitters.
Misunderstanding of the game by Kashmir Coach. They were cruising to victory. Had that Penalty gone in, it would have been 3-0. What was the need for them to ask Robin to take it - any Foreign player would have done it calmly. And coach Robertson didnt do his homework for Aizawl FC who become active post 70th minute. They needed fresh legs and tall bodies at the back, instead they sent diminutive Chesterpaul Lyngdoh. One Penalty and another superb goal from outside of the Boot by Rocharzela and it finished 2-2.
East Bengal 1-1 Churchill Brothers
East Bengal were the better side in 2nd half. Penalty was genuine. Plaza's goal was sublime as he dodged 4-5 EB players and goalkeeper.
Gokulam 1 - 1 Minerva
This game was a live wire coupled with intense pressure on both the goalkeepers.
Minerva showed what damage a Long Ball can perform. Sanju Pradhans lob made Dicka remind us of what great Italian Filipo Inzaghi used to do to various goalkeepers.
Kerala team tried lot of aerial shots. Again lack of homework by Kerala coach. Minerva's goalkeeper kIran is very good at blocking and fisting aerial shots. He can come in pressure either with high press when he is trying to distribute ball to defenders or by Grounder. The first time Nathaniel Garcia tried ground shot, they got a goal. But they wasted I think 15 direct shots at Kiran.
Can any one tell me how old is PC Rohlupuia because his age is mentioned 21 on wiki but while searching the forum i found a 8 year old post mentioning his name (not sure if thats him or not but post mentions his full name). He must be 13-14 around that time and was in Aizawal FC squad for Mizo premier league 2012. I am bit confused here.

Beauty of I-league!!
I am not speaking this as an EB fan!
