    @chelseaindia Well you are not and Chhetri would never allow his lawyers to pursue the case, it will take two arguments to submit all documents with proof of his conflict of interest case. Bhutia and Chhetri are the same, Bhutia was at least retired.

    And no we dont hate the successful and hard working, I for one, am a big fan of players like Kohli, Bumrah in cricket, PV Sindhu in badminton, Leander Paes in tennis and I admire Chhetri greatly for his contributions in the field. He is the best we have had in last 10 years, there is no doubt about it. However,  I will call him out for his malicious deal with Four Flags which is now controlling the NT selection process. And I will never post anything which will put me in undue risk in a public forum, you want proof, go find it, its not even that hard.

    Even after repeatedly asking for proof you fail to do so. Just speaking out of your ass. I am not doubting that this is not a possibility, but you need to have some proof before you run your mouth like diarrhea.

    Haha ... Everyone know these excuses... Increase 4kg and then they will say, ur speed has decreased, increase it and then we will see....

    Thapa, Sahal , Amarjit midfielders are there who donot have much weight and still performing well... and u want a left winger to put weight...  (not sure if chhangte or Ashique has put so much weight than soosairaj to be there)

    Sooper Mr Stimac....

     Need to see if u have the skills to play football at a high level, high pace and creativity.... Unfortunately Stimac is taking the wrong route.... guess  #stimacout will trend after the India Afghanistan game...

    Flaunts football knowledge and uses words like 'high pace and creativity'. Lol. There are plenty of factors that goes I to picking a team. Not saying those traits aren't valued but different coaches want different things from the team. Some coaches value work rate more than creativity for example, it makes sure his players are running back to defend and the team leeps shape.

    Only being attacking is not always a criteria for selection. That's why people like narzary played so much.

    If you see Thiery Henry's interview, he speaks about how he was subbed even after scoring a goal by Pep, because he was out of position when he scored and sacrificed the teams shape when he scored.

    Even under 17 world cup team didn't play Komal because he was skinny, although he was one of the best.  That's because they might get pushed off the ball, 4 kgs isn't much soosai will do it asap and be in the team.

    Okay, here is a statistics-based approach to check who deserves to be in the national team based on last last 3 years of data that put together.

    ISL            -->      2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20
    I-League   -->      2016-17, 2017-18, 2019-20
    Fed Cup    -->     2016-17
    Super Cup -->    2018, 2019.

    For forwards/wingers/attacking mids, goals/assists are an important statistics while for defensive mids and full-backs, regular appearances/consistency is important. I did not include CBs. Where there is a "-", I have no way of checking how many assists. Stats doesn't say everything, but it can be an insightful parameter for discussion. Maybe this will help take the discussion back on track instead of personal insults/unfounded claims/sheer stupidity.

    Appearances Goals Assists
    Sunil Chhetri 64 37 5
    Jeje Lalpekhlua 59 16 1
    Balwant Singh 58 18 1
    CK Vineeth 53 16 0
    Manvir Singh 39 3 1
    Joby Justin 28 11 -
    Sumeet Passi 26 2 0
    Samuel Lalmuanpuia 55 12 -
    Brandon Fernandes 52 12 11
    Michael Soosairaj 48 9 -
    Jerry Mawihmingthanga 46 4 7
    Farukh Choudhary 43 3 1
    Nikhil Poojari 29 1 0
    Udanta Singh Kumam 69 12 10
    Jackichand Singh Telem 60 6 8
    Jayesh Rane 60 4 3
    Laldanmawia Ralte 56 18 -
    Bikash Jairu 35 3 2
    Nandakumar Sekar 32 5 6
    Holicharan Narzary 32 1 4
    Ashique Kuruniyan 31 3 4
    Rowllin Borges 57 6 2
    Anirudh Thapa 56 5 2
    Raynier Fernandes 49 2 2
    Pronay Halder 45 0 0
    Vinit Rai 38 0 0
    Amarjit Singh Kiyam 37 6 0
    Sahal Abdul Samad 23 1 1
    Rahul Bheke 65 4 1
    Seriton Fernandes 64 1 4
    Edwin Vanspaul 59 2 -
    Pritam Kotal 56 2 5

    Although I love the stats, it's not a fair assessment. According to this sahal Abdul sucks, 1 goal and 1 assist. Which is not a true reflection.

    Even Brandon and Udanta with hight assists have struggled in the national team. Atats don't do justice to Nikhil Poojary as well.

    But on the otherside, shows how Samuel and Jerry have been doing well and definitely need to be looked at.

    Goals/Assists are less important for center mids like Sahal and full-backs. But we have seen the players and know Sahal is an example of a player who deserves to be in the national while Kotal, who has surprisingly good attacking stats, is crap.

    @goalkeepar @EastBengalPride Btw its Chelseafan, not ChelseaIndia!! And I am a lawyer, which is why I was telling you guys not to make wild, baseless allegations on public forum against someone which tarnishes that person's reputation. This amounts to both civil as well as criminal defamation. In civil defamation at best someone can ask you to pay damages but if Chetri initiates criminal defamation against the likes of you, you can seriously go to jail over it!! Its not a light matter. You have to act responsibly if you are posting something on a public forum like this. If you do have proof of Chettri's interference in the NT selection process then by all means please place it before every one so that they can also assess such evidence. But merely making allegations without any proof is plain stupid and irresponsible.

    How would you feel if a third person starts writing on this forum that both of you are thieves and have stolen Rs. 5 lac from him but without giving any evidence to back his claim. Just like you he can also give "circumstantial" evidence like he saw both of heading in the direction of his house and merely 10 minutes after that theft took place and that both of you live near his locality and stuff like that. Would you like that? And some people may actually his claim and start considering you as thief. Will that not be a damage to your reputation? Think about it.

    @The real AG Goals and assists are not the only stats which are relevant for a midfielder or full back. They are very superficial. For a midfielder stats like the number of key passes, no. of through balls, average distance ran in the matches, no. of dribbles, no. of crosses, no. of key interceptions etc also matter a great deal. And for a full back stats like no. of tackles, interceptions, average distance ran, no. of sprints etc matters a lot. Opta keeps such dtats for premier league players but i doubt if they have for isl or not. But we must have some software which can compile such data from match recordings. That way we can much better assess whether a player is worth looking in for the NT or not.
