Prevents fans across Indian watching the matches in Kolkata
Kolkata fans can always go to the stadium. If they show the games on Kolkata TV like IFA shield did, then the stadiums will again be empty.

MG Reliance Vice President Priti Srivastava reported that IMG is close to making a broadcasting deal with a national broadcaster for the professional league, which will be followed by an effort to build a regional partner.
Thats something we have been hearing for quite sometime..isnt it?
Why are they so shy of revealing more details?
The fact is the national broadcasters are not willing to pay more than Rs 20 Cr for all-India telecasting, and the regional channel Rs 30 Cr (isn't it funny?); IMG-R expects more. So the haggling is going on, and even though I-league and the Fed Cup are round the corner (so much so, the all the teams have started training and programs are announced), there is no sign of telecast, nor there are any publicity. No news on the Title Sponsors front as well. It's sickening!!!
