I have already coceded that fact. Densill theobald can wait. Dempo are a class apart even w/o him. What a plaesant display of game! Even the Indian players look at par with the foreigners. I want to see more of Godwin Franco! Ah..those long rangers!!

They don't need any foreign players to win I-League,their only weak point is defence but Dempo attack so much that their opponents rarely test them.
Another fact I noticed that clubs like Dempo and Salgaocar hav a good eye for foreigners. They hardly bring in peices of shit. While Kolkata clubs shoot in the dark and most of the time their foreigners are no worse than locals

We have to appreciate each and every Goan club actually,I don't know if its just me who feels that most of the players playing for these teams have improved their level tremendously.
SC Goa,Churchill,Dempo,Salgaocar all look impressive.

I don't agree with your view that Kolkata clubs bring trash foreigners most of the time.Except Ranty all other prominent foreigners are from kolkata only which includes Beto,Barreto,Suoeka,Chiddi and even Odafa.Even in past also there were plenty of fine foreigners played for kolkata giants.
a nice season of i-league with many teams looking in good shape to show quality display with less fav teams like PUS, PFC, MFC and shillong joining the party ...cant wait to see one of these surprise team to make the championship...it would be great for indian soccer ...
SCG is good too, they will surprise many a teams this season. Both Prayag and Pune were lucky to get points against SCG
CB,SAL and Dempo are the frontrunners to grab the I League title.Mohun Bagan and Prayag needs to sort out their defence and attack respectively to pose a threat to goan outfits.EB are over dependent on Okpara and Mehtab from last season.Okpara is nowhere near his last year form so they are going to have a tough run in this I league.PFC,Lajong,SCG are good for some upsets but they are not title contenders.

My comment was actually incomplete. Even if the Kolkata clubs bring quality players, they fail to realize or help them reach their potential. The Beto that u see today was brought in Indian football by MB if I remember correctly. But he was trashed by them the same season. Odafe, who is called Cobra (LOL) by MB fans only reached his peak in Goa.
But there have been more number of FALTU players that hav been brought recently starting fro Du (Eduardo Coelho), Douglas (I refuse to believe he was a footballer), Scooter to Diamondstar, Simon Storey and probably Alan Gow

Beto performed well for MB in that season too.His ousted from MB was for different reasons.Odafa played as defender for MDS in 2004 <!-- s:angry-screaming: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/angry/screaming.gif" alt=":angry-screaming:" title="Screaming" /><!-- s:angry-screaming: --> .Du is a very decent player.Regarding Douglas, I do not know from when you started following him but he was the main architect of EB ASEAN club championship win and 2 NFL titles and one of the prominent foreign medios played in India.Scooter,Storey and Gow all had impressive profile which prompted their selection.Diamondstar----No Comments.
