Quartz Soccer Club is a football academy team located in Hyderabad.

There main objective is to have a thriving academy by 2014 but they also aspire to join the I-League.

Quartz SC goes on signing spree

Quartz Soccer Club has signed up as many as 11 I-League players as well as this year’s Santosh Trophy top-scorer, giving Kerala football a badly needed shot in the arm.

Hm, not sure how I feel about this. Quartz is a non-state/city name but they do seem to care for Kerala's cause. It's weird but I would not mind them. We need a team in Kerala and if they play at the Municipal Stadium and they get the word out to the public then they can be a success.

some good news this, atleast they will have a go in 2nd Division. Shahbaz Saleel, K. Noushad, Manoj Manoharan and Sherin Sam all ex Viva players joined Quartz SC and our own Binju George sir as the chief coach! nice.

Added to that, three Internationals from South Africa, Liberia and Nigeria, Salgaocar defender Rino Anto....but, still not enough to reach the I-League I guess....and, really hope this side renames their name to Calicut Quartz or something...Quartz SC won't be able to attract much of a fan case with this name tag...

Quatrz FC is doing thongs in professional way, having a decent squad now, hopefully we'll se a Kerala Club back in ileague soon.

Are there any big names in the squad. I know Quartz have Sabas Saleel and the top scorer from the 2012 Santosh Trophy but is that enough.

Thats good news for Kerala. I was under the impression that Shahbas Shaleel is playing for Sikkim. so I-league 2nd Division will be interesting next year.

I believe he went on trial but De Ridder was not interested. That is only a rumor however. I personally do not believe it.
