2 players dont make the team of 23. We can still win. I have confidence in players like Manandeep. They know what they have to do and what they are getting themselves into. If they thought they had no chance than why bother to come on camp and play here. The whole team shall fight tomorrow and even if we dont win we can still aplaude them as we wont lose by much.
<br><br><br>y r v thinking of losing...remerber papas philosophy of thinking abt winning n not to be "lets not lose"<br>
<br><div><br></div><div>When did I say we would lose. I said we can still win and that why would the players be here if they thought they would lose and have no chance. They obviously know what they can do and Papas has shown that to them. I feel that if Papas can somehow convince most of the team to stay with Pailan (and Manandeep to come back on Loan, thus giving Robin Singh and foreign striker more playing time; or vice versa with Robin going to Pailan for one season) than our youth can really be good. Top 15 in Asia maybe!</div>
There is no reason to fear this U-20 UAE side, they weren't all that impressive in U-19 qualifying, you can't call this their Olympic squad.
<br><div><br></div><div>This is there Olympic squad. Look at the line-up during the Australia-UAE game and the squad they sent out (on the AFC website). Its the same players (almost, few new players).</div>
I thought I read about the UAE Olympic squad in Europe right now preparing, did they pick all new players for the London Olympics and put the players that didn't make the cut on this U22 squad? Either way, both teams have something to prove if they want to qualify, this game is crucial.

After a morning recovery session, Tuesday was an off day for them. Papas felt they ought to get out of the routine and feel fresh; hence casuals were allowed at the Lunch table.<br><br>Alwyn George who rushed for Lunch straight from the massage table didn’t get enough time to get himself out from his India Track Suit. Being the last entrant into the Dining Hall, an applause greeted him. By the time he recovered, poor Alwyn had to sing.<br><br>“<em>O Chak de Mundiya</em>…” the smart Alwyn hummed. “Louder,” Papas said in a jocular tone. The boys played the drum beats on the table. There’s a sort of telepathy between Jeje and me,” he quips.<br><br>You just can’t keep Manandeep Singh quiet. Sitting next, he plays his one-two. “So on a lush field in Muscat, you will provide us five such centres!” a mischievous Manandeep presses. Jeje adds in a tone of surprise: Five? We wait for 10 such crosses.” The laughter goes all around. Dika stands up, walks to his boots, touches them, comes and sits back.<br><br>“In International Matches, more often than not, the details decide the fate,” Papas comments. “Minute details such as set pieces, corners, etc. We need to be perfect.”<br><br>In the meantime, the phone just doesn’t stop ringing. A Malyalam Daily says : Shijumon's mother came to visit her son and his friends after travelling 1200 Km. by bus from Salalah where she is working in an Omanis house. She is in oman around 15 years since his father's unfortunate decease (cancer). She is praying for the success of her son and OUR COUNTRY (I am sure we will if we have prayer from such a people we will gualify in tournament).
We have to give bg salute to our GREAT COACH because he is really caring about his boys.
Take us lightly at your own peril! btw, a very touching information you provided us @msidhan786<div>It further increases the respect for Papas and Papa's Boys</div>
