Chance for Jeje & Co to get some valuable experience.Qualifiers might start this summer 2012 according to FPDC.
  • I know I am going to sound like Arsene Wenger here but why should Jeje play for the u22 (or u23) team when he is already a sure starter on the Senior Team and Pune FC and soon could be off the Rangers FC in the SPL. We dont want to burn him out. He has the I-League, the the Challenge Cup, the I-League again, then Nehru Cup. Thats to much for a 21 year old.

Obviously CS Sabeeth is a sure starter but why not also include Manandeep Singh to partner him. Singh is not good enough for the senior team but he is a sure thing for the youth team. And he needs the game time becuase he is sure to leave Air India after this season and he would want to impress scouts.

For Qualifiers its okay but if we do manage to qualify for finals then why not send best U-22 players. Also I hope AIFF doesn't blindly send Arrows team, instead they will have to pick best U-22 players from current I-league season.

A much needed competition; good job by AFC .
More exposure for u22 players .Hope in d coming years pailan arrows will improve & with other major steps by AIFF, we have a real chance in this competition. Also this competition will have d same serious status as that of the AFC cup(seniors). Hope we get recognized through this cup.
  • UEFA has u21 now we have u22..
  • I sorta agree with Jeje not playing qualifiers but the whole tournament. Obviously if India make it then in 2013 he should play because the senior team wont be busy. Of course though if players like Manandeep and CS Sabeeth do impress and have a great partnership then maybe they should still have the lead over Jeje.
