Referee certainly made a lot of mistake, specially the penalty corner that was given which Sreejesh saved by diving to his right was absolute blunder. He should have referred to the asst. referee. Also, a green card on one ocasion was unjust. But we did not play as well as we played against Korea
If anyone saw this year's Azlan Shah tournament, umpires are extremely biased. They give dubious penalty corners and strokes to malaysia team-thats why India suffered last time also in azlan shah tournament. Today also umpiring was horrible.
Reason-Asia Hockey Federation headquarters are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and these umpires want to be in good books of Malaysia.
our GK Sreejesh, defenders Raghunath, Rupinder Pal as well as midfielders like Kothajit, Chinglasena, Manpreet showed good fitness. Physically we are in better shape but we didnt create a lot of scoring opportunities-thats worrying. We are vulnerable against strong Europe teams.
