White Canadians are more into Ice Hockey, Figure skating, Lacrosse.  Cricket and Hockey I guess are games for immigrants from Commonwealth countries.
Also talking to my American friends, they consider Field Hockey as female sport atleast in USA.

Whenever I mention that I watch male field hockey my friends always look confused and ask if I am gay. Mens field hockey is literally invisable here.
