we were all pathetic at team sports, its only individual briliance and perseverence that got us inidna medals.. India just does not have a sports mentality..and as long at the custodians of indian sports are politicians nothing will change!!<br>

<br><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>100000000% agreed of the sports administrators of our country.... we need some top sportspersons admining the sport</div><div><br></div><div>Like viren ,who is former Inidian hockey team captain and also an MBA graduate and top member of OGQ should be looking to take a job in hockey federation(HI/IHF or whichever gets final nod)</div><div>and similarly for all sports who got sense for sports and also good managerial knowledge should be in top of federation</div>
<div> sorta disagree. I mean I dont live in India but I have been there a lot and have read a lot and observed a lot of supports groups etc and really India has the sporting mentality. They love sports in India. Heck, people say football is not popular in India yet it actually is. The problem is though giving those supporters the chance to play themselves. I see them all the time and they want to play and let children play but its not there so instead they just support. We need more rec leagues in India. That should be the SAI's big project. Have one International Sports Center in 15 states by 2018. In all states by 2025. and so on.</div><div><br></div><div>Look at the USA and China. Two of the countries in between India in population. All 3 countries have the same sports support but 2 of the 3 take advantage of it. We are the ones that dont. The USA provide opportunites through the schooling system and sports Academies. China literally take the child from a young age and mold them through super academies. A lot of questions need to be answered in India.</div>
