Venue of Davis Cup Tie will be either Delhi or Pune. Players are not happy with Bangalore as cool temperature helps Foreigners. Internal politics of AILTA will prevent them from choosing Chennai which players want.
Well its not like that. In Cricket, we do not organise Test Matches with Green Top Fast Bowlers pitch because our strenght is not on that. We make either flat pitch or condition assisting spinners. Same way Davis Cup in home and away format is designed in such a way that Host Country gets advantage. UK will organise it on Grass Court, France will have it on Clay Court as it is their strength. Just last week, New Zealand cunningly hosted it is Christchurch because it was colder then their other two main Tennis venues Auckland, Wellington. Venues need to be having proper facilities, hotels, airports, Stadium. But the surface and temperature/weather should favour host country-not the travellers. By that common sense, it was stupid and foolish to host it in Bangaloreagainst Serbia and India lost. Chennai is there. Mumbai or Delhi or Kolkata also possible depending on the month. Delhi better in Summer but not in winter. There is internal politics between powerful Chidambaram Family who rules Tennis in Tamil Nadu and the Khannas who rule Delhi. Delhi guys have power so they will prevent Chennai hosting the tournament.
@Cybertron They should get Leander and Bopanna play and win in Doubles. Then lets hope Somdev and Yuki perform some miracle. We need to win 3 out of 5 matches.
Well you can say that. Mr Batra said that he has pressure from Sponsors (HIL ones) to show quick results like medal in Olympics. They cannot even have long term vision now.
Seems strange that everyone just goes GaGa over ISL and agrees that it is soon going to take us to footballing nirvana in no time but seems to criticize HIL which is a better version of ISL (it focuses more on sport and less on entertainment) and gets the best in world current players and not players who were good a decade ago, in short if HIL expands to a full league, there would be no conflict and great for Asian hockey, not only India.

I think they should hold even in Andaman... the away team will have to travel a lot... and the temperature I expect should be high..
But we cant find proper facility in major cities so no way we would be having one there...
Just an idea :P
