@archak ; Roelant Oltmans has suggested that we should groom future Coaches in Womens hockey. Right now most of our ex-India women Hockey players are either DSP in Police (Mamta Kharab Haryana Police), Punjab Police, CISF or officer jobs in Railways and then they go away from Hockey. If they can give the same payscale and permanent job to such phenomenal player like Rani Rampal, it will be much better service for India Womens hockey. Rampal is a role model for many Junior players also. Before she becomes DSP in Police when she becomes 21, its better to have her as a coach at SAI.
Pro kabaddi could grow to 16 side league... That would make the league a proper yearly event.. the league could really become flagship event for india along with ipl unlike the confusion in football and hockey
I would hope that makes the PKL an all-year event. If the PKL can do it and survive then the ISL can take a note from it and follow suit... showing that big-money sports leagues can survive in India.
