While talking of beauties, did anyone notice the cheerleaders in the T20 world cup in Lanka? I mean, who told them that it was compulsory to have cheerleaders!!
They probably thought that like u have to have a ball to play cricket, u have to have cheerleaders to play t20 cricket.

Any American will say that it is the past time of America. Our nation grew with baseball and Babe Ruth was America's sportsmen of the century and thus why it is so popular here but to be honest I think it is due to two things:
1) The old generation passing it on and on from when they were children. The reason they got into it was American nationalism. Its an American made sport.
and 2) The media. The media in America knows that Baseball can make money so they shove it down our throats so we can create newer fans and so far it has worked brilliantly. Its like in India and England. The more the media talks about it the more popular it will get.
Why did soccer get popular in America? Because the MLS and US Soccer Federation bought lots of TV time and spent money on making it look good and we also got help from the Premier League and the media attention (and money booster) it was becoming in America.
Honestly I do not like it. Baseball was my first ever favorite sport but I got over it. Its boring to be honest once you get exposed to other sports like Basketball and Football (soccer).
