BREAKING NEWS: Indian 'Whizzkid' Invited By Leicester
City on Trial ASD Cape Town can today confirm that
Indian U19 creative Midfielder, Brandon
Fernandes, has been invited by Leicester
City Football Club on a 2 week trial. Fernandes, who attracted global interest
when he joined Reading FC on a trial
midway through October, begins his 2
weeks in Leicester tomorrow where he
will train with the Foxes development
squad. ASD Director, Mike Steptoe said: "Brandon had a great time at Reading
and was made extremely welcome by
the club. He trained and played with the
development squad and reports back
have been very encouraging. He played
in one game 'behind closed doors' and managed two assists as his side scored 3
goals. We understand that Reading are
interested in Brandon and will be making
a decision in the next few days. In the
meantime Brandon is currently the guest
of Leicester City, our home town club". Leicester has a huge Indian population,
and Fernandes was delighted to be
introduced to the Melton Road area of
the city earlier today. He described it as a
'mini-India', and enjoyed conversing with
locals in his mother tongue of Hindi. He even paid a visit to a barbershop a friend
from Goa recommended! Fernandes said: "From what I hear, Leicester City are a
great club and they focus on
development. They have been really
welcoming and I already feel at home.
The development squad are away
tomorrow, but from Tuesday onwards, I'm really looking forward to focusing on
my football"
Wow. Leicester actually have a much better Academy then Reading and if you look at there squad you will see that many players came from the Academy. Also its the Championship and Fernandes would really do well to adjust there. Actually hoping Fernandes chooses Leicester if he is offered the chance. They are a better fit for him.

From the looks of it it seems that a decision is not officially made yet by either Reading nor ASD. Reading have said that they are interested but ASD also want to keep options open.
