The talented player holds Portuguese identification so should have no problems in acquiring a work permit in the United Kingdom, however he has made it very clear that he wants to represent India at national level, if given the opportunity.
Senior team ok, Reserves ok!! But Academy?? Is Reading signing Brandon for a professional or youth contract? If its professional contract, why should we be concerned about the standard of their academy? Reading FC is a relegation threatened club, meaning their talent pool are less compared to others...so, its only making things easy for Brandon, having less competition for match time, atleast for the reserves side, if not for the senior side!!

if he impresses there, some other clubs can sign him or reading can give him at loan to championship club if any work permit issues are there

Brandon is an 18 year old Indian coming out of some South African Academy... yes he is so going to play for the first-team.
You can still play in the Academy and have a professional contract. In England you can sign a pro contract at 16.

Kiska baap ka kya jaata hai? It's their forum, let them do what they want to do. Don't interfere with it man.
And those aren't really India bashers. Most of them are bashing their editor because they don't see this news as relevant to South African football. And then there are those that are surprised that Indians play football. Really, there's no reason for them to have heard of Indian football so far.
