@The real AG United doesnt really need to think much about recouping player costs. Man Utd, had a revenue of £395m in 2014-15, down from £433m in 2013-14....Liverpool is way behind in terms of revenue . somewhere in the range of £250-300m. So , even if United spends 50% of that revenue on wages , players with those "high" wages become easily affordable. In that sense, its not really a loss in signing those names.
Which brings us back to our original discussion and the point I made earlier - UTD have the money and hence can afford to spend huge on wages for multiple players.
As for the other discussion about commercial revenue, it is not a secret that the Moores/Parry days have left Liverpool behind Utd by over a decade and are therefor playing catch-up, but under FSG, LFC certainly have been building towards bridging that gap.
But the point I really wanted to get across was that under Klopp (someone who wants to build a team than buy one), LFC will look to players who are on reasonable wages, but transfer fee wise, they will have no problem spending over 30m on couple of players a summer, but they are very much constrained by FSG, who while are responsible owners, I think have taken LFC as far as they can.
Former East Bengal striker Ranti Martins scores a brace in his first match for his side Penang in their 4-3 victory against Terengganu FC II. http://www.thestar.com.my/sport/football/2016/07/18/penang-goalkeeper-sani-anuar-says-sorry/ 'The islanders’ new import signings Ranti Martins (36th and 85th) and Jeong Seok-min (59th and 67th) bagged a brace each to secure Penang’s first away win of the season.'

This is a signing BFC should have done

Swansea City have signed Australia international goalkeeper Mark Birighitti on a free transfer.
