NewEngland stadium is very big and far from city.i believe they are trying to get a stadium close to downtown area.

Supposedly they are, according to reports but in reality they are not doing anything. The Revolution playing at Gillet Stadium is because the owners want people to go to the massive "Patriots Place" mall right outside the stadium. Also you do not have to pay for the Revs to play in Gillet so no money out of Krafts pocket.

Ideally though a Boston stadium would be great as Boston has all those younger college kids and that is the main demographic for MLS, it just does not seem to happen.

Each team is given eight roster spots for international/foreign players. Teams can get more or less via trading spots, players, money etc.

Foreign players who have a green card (who technically do not have an American passport yet but are eligible) are not counted as foreigners.

@ArsenalFan700 ; Green Card holders are not counted as Foreigners!!!! that is absurd. It is very easy to get Green Card under exceptional talented category for Sportspersons. Our Tennis players Leander, mahesh, Devwarman all have Green card for years because they reside in Florida for training purposes. Only criteria is 6 months residence in USA in one year atleast.

It is kinda absurd but I believe this is only done due to some government rules etc... I am not to sure but I believe that is what I was told when this question was last brought up.
