Around equal to an ISL game but worse than A-League. You have teams like the New York Cosmos who have a lot of money and have signed guys like Raul, Marcos Senna etc. as well as guys from MLS. Indy Eleven have been doing well when signing internationals from Central America.
Miami FC is a weird team, their promotion before their first game this season was literally posting pictures of girls and saying "You want to hang with these chicks? Come down to our stadium on Saturday and do so." They have been also paying weird transfer fees for some MLS players, well above their value.
The league is set to lose Minnesota United to MLS next year which is bad and they also might lose their two Canadian teams to the new Canadian Premier League in 2018. They also might lose Rayo OKC because who would Rayo Valladoid invest in this team!?
He would never come. I actually can never picture an American coming to India. A Mexican? Yep, that can happen. A Canadian? Yep. An American? Unless they are descendent from South Asia then I can't see it.
Christian Ramirez is also set to pretty much join Minnesota United in MLS when they move up next year.
@BrainFallINDIA It really is. Some guy did the same for the J. League if you want me to post the link.
@ArsenalFan700 There was a time when they used to come to India, even in the field of Sports. Harry Buck was a College Football Coach at Wichita State University. Yet he came to India and laid foundation of YMCA College of Physical Education. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Buck
I can provide examples of American wrestlers who visited India 90-100 years ago to have wrestling bouts with Indian Wrsetlers like Gama Pehalwan.
If you are talking only about Footballer, then thats a different matter.
Joseph Lapara and Santino Quaranta are two who I know who came, just hard to see now. Marquee players will go back to MLS and the US has three divisions with plenty of teams. Just hard to see right now but not impossible.
Forget US, we should sign some guys from Sierra Leone / Kenya NT...there is some serious "cheap' untapped talent there. VIctor Wanyama now plays for Tottenham...just wow !!!
how can you generalize Americans not interested coming to India... I know many Americans who would like to work in India and many of them are working in Bangalore... I just know one person ( "Rohan Aluwala") who doesn't like to play for India or in India....
and reg Christian Ramirez... he is young player and definitely ambitious to play for USA which can achieved only if he plays in MLS or better football league and not ISL...
if your point is true.... still we are fine... ISL does have 200 other countries to choose from...
