@BrainFallINDIA ; Kerala Cricket Association already owns a beautiful stadium at Wayanad. I guess Rajni matches are played there. Is that 10 years exclusive lease of Greenfield Stadium? It was built with Cricket in mind. I would say good news now JLN Kochi can be used only for Football.

KCA already signed a 30 years lease contract with GCDA for the use of JLN stadium few year ago. I know a few guys in KCA , they are not gonna let go of that easily .
I guess Wayanad stadium cannot be used for oneday or Test Matches due to distance from Airport? Trivandrum needed an exclusive Cricket stadium. Even the promotional video of Greenfield stadium showed Cricket. With such high rentals, KFA found it difficult I think. Anyways locals will know better.
Sorry for the multiple posts. UC browser is the only browser which works on my phone when im not on wifi (due to low network,i guess). Wayanad stadium is a part of their strategy to have one stadium in every districts . Wayanad wont host any important matches as connectivity to that place is not good. Regarding cricket stadium in TVM , i'm a local and i've always felt that football is more widely played than cricket here .
