In those societies, Sun is considered a good thing. It attract fans as an outing. thats why stadiums were prefered to be open rather then roof over the stands.
But of course in ploaces like India we do need roof.
Other reasons are
1) extra expenses in having roof
2) Old school mindset of building stadium to make life difficult for visiting teams. Domes will block winds, protect them from elements of nature like early tiring heat due to sun, cold winds due to blizzard etc.

· 11th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship 2021, Simdega, Jharkhand, 3 to 12 April 2021
The dates for the remaining Hockey
India National Championships for 2021 will also be announced once there
is confirmation from all participating members.
