  • @Domnic ;   Mohun bagan fans were throwing stones at Felix Chikmaowu, Kalu Nnana, Odafa who were in Churchill team. and Churchill goal keeper Arindam bhattacharya went to stands to beat one supporter.  Now Odafa and Arindam are at MB.

And why not? He is doing more of a job than what everyone else in his position was doing. Why could he have not just left the Air India position and became full-time coach?

Air India job provides government job security, flat in Bombay, salary till 60, retirement, pension etc. He will not take a risk to resign from Air India for few bucks more and then lose  a lot in future. once he resigns, there is little job security.

Again though, Indian football is not fully the same as it was before with coaches finishing and then all of a sudden having nothing. Opportunities will open up for coaches in India, analyst jobs, youth coaching etc.

He would have a job till 60. Of course though I could be off as I do not know the living conditions in India as well yet.

2013 IFA Shield may be happen in next March.. Initially it has been reported that this edition of IFA shield can play in both Siliguri & Kolkata. Apart from 5 Kolkata Clubs(MB,EB,PU, PA,Md Sc) 2 foreign teams will be invited(initial negotiation is going with a MLS club & a Serbian Club.).Rest will be from I league teams.
Things r in initial stage. We have to wait few more moths for final decision.

Very good interview of Subash Bhowmick

    http://www.thegoan.net/story.php?id=2510

Great interview. A bit of bias though here and there and also some misinformation (Shillong Lajong also play in the north-east) but overall I nice interview into the reality of Indian football and what should be done.

I love how he exposed Goa and TFA. Yes his word should not be taken 100% but he is the one who oversaw TFA for awhile and is now exposed to Goan football.

I also love what he said about Academies, specially this line: "Then, when they see someone has no chance and is useless, they remove him."

Yes it is harsh but it is already being done, I think with Pailan Arrows as well. When I did the Pailan Arrows wikipedia page in September I had to add 30 players to the squad. I edited it again 2 days ago and players were missing, not on the team anymore. Papas has started it. He made his squad smaller which is brilliant to see. If they are good enough then keep them, if not then show them reality but dont smack their hopes into cement.
  • a reason churchill is amongst the top and doing well now is subash bhowmick and not mariano dias.... i wish he was not so stubborn about the AFC licence thing... nevertheless ... his points are very accurate and need to be taken seriously
