> @munna. Who told you that there are no tickets for Goa matches??? The tickets are there but along with it there are a lot of complimentary passes also. So that part of the AFC criteria is satisfied coz tickets are sold on matchdays.
And Goan clubs always think about the people first. They can easily buy 5000 tickets every matchday and show that to AFC as sales. Thats easy to manipulate. And many guys here say that it wont work in long term. Then so be it. They will close down when they can no longer do it. Whats the big issue in this. Indian football will still go ahead without them as it will do without Mohun Bagan.

Because Goa is a huge market for Indian football in which people like the sport and many players are produced from the state. Bagan's loss is compensated with East Bengal and Prayag United along with Pailan Arrows staying and the fact that Bagan could be back in around 2-3 years.
12 state bodies against Patel`s appointment in `divided` AIFF
New Delhi: The lure of
plum posts has left the All India Football Federation (AIFF) a "divided
house", with 12 state associations reportedly objecting to Praful
Patel`s appointment as president for a second straight term.
A
few of those who have objected to Patel`s candidature immediately after
the AGM last December after failing to get elected to the posts they had
hoped for, have admitted to have sent blank nomination papers signed by
probable office-bearers to the AIFF.
"12 state associations
have protested to Patel`s nomination. They had sent blank nominations in
anticipation that they would be elected by the president. But those who
did not, have straightaway protested. This has left the house divided,"
an AIFF official told PTI on condition of anonymity.
Another official said that the whole procedure to pick the office bearers unopposed in the AGM has led to this situation.
"The fact is what has left some of them disappointed is that they did not get what they were hoping for."
It
may be noted that two days before the AIFF elections were to be held,
the Delhi High Court, acting on an application filed by lawyer-activist
Rahul Mehra, had asked the federation to conduct the polls under the
government`s Sports Code.
Mehra had alleged that Patel collected blank nomination papers signed by probable office-bearers from the state federations.
All India Football Federation takes strong exception to a certain story floated by a new agency titled: ‘12 state bodies against Patel's appointment in 'divided' AIFF.’
The quotes used in the story stay baseless and seem to be told to the news agency by any individual who seems to have a vested interest.
The AGM and the Elections held on December 22, 2012 were conducted in the presence of Ms. Radhica Sreeman, Observer on behalf of the Government of India (also the Regional Director, SAI); Mr. P. C. Makholia on behalf of the Sports Authority of India; Mr. Mun Si Song, representative Asian Football Confederation and Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran, FIFA Regional Developmental Officer, South and Central Asia.
It was held in the spirit of the Sports Code and FIFA Consultant Monika Staab was also present on the occasion.
Justice S. K. Agarwal, a Retired Judge of the Delhi High Court was the Returning Officer.
Mr. Praful Patel was unanimously elected as the President of AIFF on the day and there wasn’t any ‘objection’ by a single State Association Member, leave aside ‘twelve’ as mentioned in the news report.
AIFF enjoys full support of all State Associations across the country and denies any such ‘division’ mentioned in the report.
Along with Dodsal, newly-formed club DSK Shivajians, from Pune, are also hoping to participate in the top flight directly.
two maharastrian clubs want direct entry now in i league
aiff should grant them
its seems both the team owners are billionairs
It has become a joke.Dodsal knew that they will not be able to qualify thru 2nd division-so using their money power. so a team can qualify for 1st division just on basis of proposal to build stadium. Qualification should be thru footballing reasons, not becoz of money. disqualify Mohun Bagan, ONGC, Air India and give back door entry to Dodsal, Sikkim, Lajong.
