The inaugural Mizoram Premier League (MPL) shall be launched tentatively in September 2012. The MPL has struck a sponsorship deal worth Rs 1.25 crores with ZoNet Cable TV Pvt Ltd. The teams have already started assembling and practicing including Mizoram's leading football club Aizawl FC.
