After Federation Cup, apparently Subhash Bhowmick got severe flak from Alemao. Now this super turn-around must have given Alemao a pleasant heart attack! Subhash and East Bengal made a great combination for years winning almost everything, including ASEAN Cup. Later he was caught taking bribe while serving in his office (some government job) and lost the plot. Good to see him back

I am exactly concerned due to this. Last year the Portguese coach was doing very well, drew/lost 2-3 games and then Alemao got pissed. But I think this season they have changed a bit, Bhowmick was given the freedom and time to choose his player and build a decent squad.

    btw focussing on other teams-

Pune FC winning 3-2 against ONGC and Mumbai FC doesnt sound too good. 4 goals against these opponents is not good.

EB dominated both games (relatively easy games) and struggled to score, this might hamper there i-league aspirations. They still have one foreigner slot left (but no money!)

Air India, at last looking good to relegate, but dont we think that every season! :P

Even the sponsors were arranged by Bhowmick.

That may save his job later in the season!

But seriously, I have a feeling Bhowmick wants to prove himself after his recent disastrous runs with EB and MB. In Kolkata, he has lost reputation. Sound like a plot from a sports movie :P

    Thats interesting!
  • what subhash did with EB was amazing..... doing well here too, mariana dias is just a puppet in subhash's hand, as due to strict coaching license criteria subhash doesnt fit the bill...... i remember some years back in an interview he told arrogantly that "i dont care about the coaching license, i have won national league and asean cup without a license, why do i need to get 1 now" (not the exact words though)..... and his self destructing attitude and some nonsensical decisions made him lost the plot,....... i hope he is wiser now, and currently CB is playing some different brand of attacking football never seen before in india for a long long time.....keep it up subhash!!!

  • The reason Thapa's wiki page says Nepal is because that is what the sources say. EVERY SOURCE! EVERY WEBSITE!!! Goal.com said he was from bloody Aruba!!!!
