The AIFF roadmap says that "Two (2) clubs from I-League to be offered entry into ISL by the end of 2020/2021 season". According to me, this phraseology "by the end of" appears somewhat confusing--does it mean that these two I-League clubs can enter ISL "after the end of 2020/2021 season i.e from the 2021/2022 season" or they can enter ISL either in the 2020/2021 season or the 2021/2022 season (which is the latest date of entry as is usually implied by the words "by the end of")? In other words, can two I-league clubs enter ISL in the next season itself (2020/2021) or will they have to wait for another season (2021/2022)?
However Goal and TOI (Marcus Mergulhao is a TOI reporter) have been so biased in favour of ISL/FSDL and advocates of the Big Two gaining entry in the ISL in recent times that it is difficult to take them seriously!
which is eating dust in some cabinet - this road map cannot be taken seriously.
Just an idea, nothing else. They are not legally bound to follow it.
Bottom line is that it is in the hands of a private company running the private franchise tournament that how long they want to run it !! Only they will decide the future.
These roadmaps and rumours of MB / EB joining are mere eyewash !!
