Palestine pulled out of Merdeka tournament. India, Malaysia & Tajikistan will play in round-robin format.
Below is the revised schedule of Merdeka cup 2023:

• 11 Oct India vs Tajikistan
• 14 Oct Malaysia vs India
• 17 Oct Malaysia vs Tajikistan

Seems like teams were not ready for round-robin format. India will play Malaysia on Oct 13th as per the schedule & Tajikistan got bye and winner of Malaysia vs India will play Tajikistan in final.

• 17 Oct Tajikistan vs Malaysia/India (Final)

Tajikistan got bye means India refused to play on the 11th

I don't think so. Refusal might be from both the teams as most of the players are assembled only on Monday.

Tajikistan got bye means they are at disadvantage as we/Malaysia get to play 2 games whereas Tajikistan will play only 1 game.
