if this game is successfully organised, Cochin will be in radar for future India games. what a chance missed by Guwahati-considering their stadium was pretty new.

Cricket is played on grass to. If you mean the crease then that is a mystery.
center square where there is the pitch is raised above the rest of the ground by around 5-6 inches while the rest of the ground slopes towards the boundary line... so the TASK for the ground staff is to LEVEL the ground by removing the center square as per international football standards and grow new grass on the playing area

I thought the center square was called the crease. That is what the English call it at least. As for leveling the playing ground... I never knew that.
