where will those juniors go as they will become seniors? there should always be a senior league and it should be expanded to far big tiers than junior one
Every junior footballer will not become a professional footballer. They're school kids and after 17, they'll go to college if they don't become footballers. The good ones will go on to play at national level leagues.
State senior leagues can happen but without a junior league, we're not reaching anywhere. With the funds at disposal, putting it in junior leagues will help more rather than giving to PSU teams. Out of 10 teams in Kerala premier league, 5 are PSUs. What's the point in putting money there?
Kerala has so much potential for a state league as people love football there, a player like Jessel Cornerio came from GPL not some u19 league infested with age frauds, players like Sosairaj,Arjun came from state leagues not some u19 where they would have been pushed out by 24 year olds playing as u19s, in state leagues you find the real talents, in youth league you find age frauds who look promising by playing other players who are 2-5 years younger then them but they are shit at senior level we know many examples like uttam rai etc, its sad to see people here don't want Kerala to have a state league but u19 league which will be infested by age frauds imported from Eastern regions who will kick out genuine age locals.
@goalkeepar I understand your emotions but a junior and baby league with Kerala teams will not be having people from outside state for sure as there are enough kids who play the game.
Also, it's kind of impossible to do age fraud in Kerala as hospital delivery is 100% and the records are strict here.
Nobody goes to college without clearing school first. The same should apply to football. I only told about strengthening junior level football. State leagues can happen but junior leagues should be priority.
KFA should start a proper 6 month state league, there is so much talent in Kerala it can only be displayed in a state league, youth leagues are also important with proper anti age fraudibg regulation, as we know youth coaches will do anything to get result's
KFA is not interested in club football. They're led by an old octagenerian politician who doesn't understand modern football. It's appalling that 7s football has a 6 month league while standard football has just a one month league.

They can also decide upon a style of play, so that every team will follow that and transition to next stage will be easier...
