Completely agree with @Pondicherry. This is the sort of balanced view one must have and one should not go too far with ones expectations. The changes would be gradual and we are seeing it. So we should be rather happy.

    @7negi -

    1) dont think Toal's u16 team did bad in Asia cup...they matched well against highly rated opponents. what else we want, winning the tournament?

    2) What do u mean by Uttam has ability to play possesion football? Toal and the coach before him used the same system and used him in u16. Also this facebook profile holders keep getting hyped time and again. Age group teams are a tricky affair, players dont always stay the same. Out of the u15 players who trained in IMG, only 2 made the first XI and 2 came as sub...many of them just disappeared...this happens in age group teams all the time

    3) the 3rd point doesnt apply here, because this u19 team played the same system in u16 tournaments also...only now we are changing in u14, u16 level, and if they play under toal in u19 then we can start this argument

    I agree with u the change should be gradual.Everyone critisis Bob for not using the young players,but in one interview he said the change should be gradual.Our players are very inexperienced in International match.Only this time AIFF did something like playing with our 2nd div teams.So we completed 26 games

    I expect they will come back strongly against the other big teams

    scenario is same as u16 qualifiers. Group E has only 3 teams !!!! So result against 2 teams will not be counted . So a win against uzbek is must to qualify.
  • @shibier yup some countries pulled out.

    We need to beat the remaining 3 countries, including Nepal, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, to guarantee a spot for the championship.

    Lets take them on one by one, but first lets get through Nepal.

    Not very professional from prodigy Uttam Rai...just prove yourself in the field, plus this kind of updates in the middle of the tournament really is not going to help the team. Disappointed by his conduct.

;

He does seem frustrated but he should realise that such statements will in no way help him or the team unity..this might backfire on him.. hope the coach , uttm and the team discuss this with cool minds..

Just hope all this media hype and focus about Uttam has not got to his head.Let his performance on the field do the talking

    Clearly the kid is too eager to become a hero on Facebook. This is truly disappointing conduct from him. After this, I think he deserves the bench for at least lacking the temperament
