As per the trend of revamping websites now is the turn of mumbai fc... <!-- s:happy-partydance: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/happy/partydance.gif" alt=":happy-partydance:" title="Dance Party Dance" /><!-- s:happy-partydance: --> <!-- s:clap: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/eusa/clap.gif" alt=":clap:" title="Clap" /><!-- s:clap: --> http://www.mumbaifc.com/MumbaiFC2012/Default.aspx
this new website is way better than the older site ..good job mumbai fc web team
Finally. Now lets see some marketing in Mumbai. I want to see 5,000 supporters next season at the Cooperage
if they get into proper marketing ,then 5000 is very easy target to be achieved,all they need to do is promote in print media and also if possible in grounds where mfl lower div matches are held
I am just wondering. What kind of marketing was actually done before Mumbai relocated to many different stadiums. All I know is that they had a website and youtube channel (which I hope they restart)

actually nothing special,they did what all indian clubs had been doing in the past,...by playing game in their home ground with no advertisements of the matches in any media section and just hoping that some might just pop up to the stadium to cheer for them.. <!-- s:confusion-seeingstars: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/confusion/seeingstars.gif" alt=":confusion-seeingstars:" title="Seeing Stars" /><!-- s:confusion-seeingstars: -->
infact even now many of my friends think mumbai fc might be playing at cooperage and i just won the bet by proving him that mumbai fc isnt playing here <!-- s:happy-jumpgreen: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/happy/jumpgreen.gif" alt=":happy-jumpgreen:" title="Green Jump" /><!-- s:happy-jumpgreen: -->

Hahaha love it when that happens. Same for me when Henry went back to Arsenal, a few guys at school said that Henry would never score. 10 minutes later, he scores!
Hopefully Mumbai will focus on marketing along with WIFA. WIFA and MFC should work together. Mumbai is such a huge market with past potential.
mumbai fc gonna be playing IFA shield and Abhijit Kadam Memorial Football Cup 2012 at same time ,which i guess would mean first team for ifa shield and 2nd team for the next tournament....the recent activity of mumbai fc like revamping websites and now some match experience for the entire squad could be encouraging for mumbai fc fans to expect some more positive moves by them in next season to come
Same, I am still leaning towards them moving to Nagpur BUT maybe sense they will finally have a home next season in Cooperage Ground they will be able to use there budget on players (Seniors and Youth) and put them in tournaments. Now all they need is an Academy and Marketing and they will be perfect in I-League.
Mumbai FC is owned by Subhash Chandra led Zee group. They are one of the industry conglomerates. They must be realizing that in not very far future, the league would turn pro or may be franchisee based. Once it happens, entry of a new team will be costly affair in that cash rich league. So IMO, they are not planning to leave...all these developments are indicators of that.
True @somesh . That must be the reason they have, in two weeks, started a new website, started there early pre-marketing in Mumbai, and are going into these tournaments. Hopefully we will see Mumbai FC do some major marketing in the summer for the 2012-13 I-League.
Also @Shankar do you know if Mumbai FC asked WIFA to make the bucket seats at Cooperage blue, the colors of Mumbai FC, if so that would be amazing.
Still want to see an effort by AIFF here.
For 2012 have 2 teams in Maharashtra (Mumbai and Pune), 2 in Goa, 3 in West Bengal (2 in Kolkata, 1 in Siliguri) and 3 in NE (Sikkim, Shillong, and Aizawl). That is 10 teams.
Then for teams 11, 12, 13, and 14 I think the AIFF and IMG should focus on selling the rights to Nagpur, Jharkhand (either Ranchi or Jamshedpur), Nagaland and Delhi.
sorry @arsenalfan no idea about the colour of bucket seats .ya if they get it blue that will be really great given the experience we get in epl matches where seats colour matches with jersey gives a excellent effect even to some empty seats if any..
@Shankar its cool. From what I hear the seats will be black which is good to. As long as they are some sort of dark color. It would give the Mumbai FC players some sort of home advantage which is lacking in I-League.
