Royal Wahingdoh signing Menyongar would make sense. Really him to any I-League side is good enough. He may be old but he is a capable I-League level player.
In my opinion, Westwood releasing Menyongar must mean the Englishman already has someone good in mind and the fact he said with "Premier League" experience is telling. (Mind you, Rohan Ricketts)
Well Westwood would bring actual players he has seen or have good agents to vouch for unlike most of the other clubs who get players from youtube videos or agents hiding some injuries etc. Westwood would be able to bring serious guys like Osano and Johnson
True, so another Rohan Ricketts is most likely not going to happen. Now we just need to know who this guy is. After guys like Jay Simpson and Jay Bothroyd signed for Buriram United and Muangthong United respectivly I would like to see an I-League club step up and make a signing which also improves the foreign talent in the league.
@ArsenalFan700 Both the players you have mentioned have signed for more than $500,000 per season, and Buriram and Muangthong are HUGE clubs with amazing facilities.
So it would be foolish to think that players of such caliber will come to India anytime soon.
I know that line would be taken the wrong way... this was just a sentence to show the change in Thailand... from how 2 clubs decided to spend a little more and thus were rewarded with England Championship guys.
Bengaluru FC can do that, perhaps not Championship quality but they can try to spend a bit for a player who can still demolish our league.
I don't understand one thing!!! If these 2 football clubs in Thailand can have huge and amazing facilities then what is wrong with Indian clubs such as Bengal or Goan clubs? Is it because they have financial support from thai government?
I thought Japan, Korea, Australia and arab teams have strong facilities but Thailand better than India is a total outrage. Then how are we supposed to perform well against top teams in Asia? Maybe in the year 2100.
