Well said Somesh. But you know, we can never expect that type of crowd in Goa. Firstly, Goa is not an industrial hub and neither has any IT parks that can offer jobs to youngsters. And no tourist is interested in watching these slow games in mid afternoon.
For last 10 years, goan youth has only gone out to other places. Maype Portugal, UK, Dubai,US , Merchant Navy, Pune, Bangalore,Mumbai etc. Thats why we have such a skewed sex ratio as most males go abroad. The only youngsters who can come are the college going students. But they too dont want to waste their pocket money on this shit when they can watch great football for free on TV.
Yes. I wouldn't go to the stadium either in the prevailing conditions and I don't blame the football fans there at all. I travelled for 2.5 hrs to reach Salt Lake to watch AFC cup semifinal. And what's the return? I didn't expect a win or a respectable draw. All I expected was quality football. But what East Bengal displayed can be experienced in the football matches in my locality..so why take all the trouble!
jalsha moves telecastng calcuta league standard level.with more cameras etc....mapusa big ground than wr cfl take place.but ten action telecast was horrible.....
if ten action telecast i league seriously,,with more cameras, gud graphcs, energetic commtry.and show all matchs frm bamglre, ybk, kalyni, balwdi, shlng, it wil atract mre crwd
Fails me. How would TV Telecast improve match attendance? May be for once the people who watch the packaged thing on TV will get fooled and visit stadium. But once they do, they will realize what crap it is.
quality of i league just improvded ,grounds just improvd, attendance improvd, new generatn clubs nd marketing going.....last season 6 clubs on title race, ths tme first 10teams equal strength...only thng nt just improvd was telecast....
