I will get this out of the way so we can have a meaningful conversation for once:

"Oh, how dare Snoei! He is such a blabber mouth, mouthing off negatives about Indian coaches! How dare he! He also badmouthed how Pune dont have a toilet at their training ground... that evil witch!"

Is the new Indian NT kit available for purchase?

It is sold out and I was hoping one with Chhetri's name/number.
  • So much of arrogance. As if Indian football cant survive without him.

I'm surprised at that attitude. In no terms Snoei is being arrogant. He is just irritated with the idiot that is Jamol and the likes of him who are spoiling Indian football for short term gains. Taking criticism is a big virtue, many aren't able to handle it.

What else would you term it as. He is threatning to leave India if things dont improve. He could have conveyed the same thing in a much subtle way. I agree with his point of view, that it can get frustrating (time-wasting) but to go to an extent and say that players should become Bollywood actors and Khalid should be the director is unwarranted. Remember there are quite a few international players in the team i.e. Climax, Sandesh, Anwar etc. He has no right to insult everyone.

Why cann't Snoei oil his own machine?  He criticized Karim's way of coaching a day before the Mohun Bagan match and got a 1-3 drubbing. In Federation Cup also his team cut a sorry figure. He just criticizes his opponent to divert attentions so that no body would give a look in to his 22nd century (!!!) coaching style which resulted in nothing. I am sick of these 2nd/3rd grade European coaches.. who still consider they can get away by saying/doing anything in India as we are still an undeveloped nation in their eyes. Need to kick them out because insulting Khalid Jamil definitely amounts to racism.

Racism! Not again! Its election season and I could also call it communalism. But let is not tread that path.
In any case no 1st grade coach would come to India just like no 1st/2nd rate player would come. It is also true that blaming local infrastructure and players comes as easy excuse. But I'm no way his statements are unjustified. If a young coach like Jamil instructs his players to waste time deliberately, it sums up why we are where we are in football culture.

The referees need to control the time wasting. But the Indian referees are not at all competent save a few like Pratap Singh. If a goal keeper or any player is shown a card (yellow) for time wasting... which does happen in almost every match here, the words will quickly spread around and playeres will refrain from such nonsense. But then, where the referees/ assistant referees are more or less incompetent, it is too much to expect and time wasting will go on & on. But again Snoei should keep his mouth shut or get it washed because he is smelling racism.. I repeat racism.

I wholly support mike on this one. Really really frustrates the hell out of me when players and goalkeepers go down as if shot with 30 mins to go and they are just one goal ahead. It gets worse when the clock approaches 80 mins cos i know i will be forced to watch 20-25 mins instead of 10 mins plus added time bcos of all these antics.

Red card em or give a severe warning or a fine to the club which encourages this behaviour so its rooted out of the system, Its these sort of stupid antics which slows the game and makes sure ppl dont come to the stadium to watch matches, Its so boring, slows the game and unprofessional.

The guys that go down so easily should not play the game at all as those sort of antics can be proved that they dont have the stamina for the game!! Worse guy is Khalid jamil, I know he has no budget team and is doing well to avoid relagation but this sort of behaviour will not win fans for Mumbai FC for sure.

Khalid Jamil deserves all the criticism he gets , those who follow Indian football have seen this idiot and his tactics for years . He has employed the loophole in the fact that the referees are incompetent to his advantage.

Some teams like Bengaluru FC and Lajong, Dempo a few years ago have adopted the approach of not returning the ball when the team kicks it out to receive treatment for their injured player. This has often led to off field brawls like last season Dempo vs Mumbai FC.

Mike Snoie has been a bit of a motor mouth this season , and threatening to quit the country etc is just stupidity. No-one will care and certainly not Mumbai FC, so why even offer such a hollow threat.
We all know the ref shud be the one tackling with the issue of the "Balewadi ghost"

Jamil also makes a lot of unsavoury comments and instructs his players to stay down and internally has benched players who haven't followed his instructions,
Jamil will struggle to get a job outside of Mumbai FC , but as for painting him as some hero who manages a small budget team.
Mumbai FC have a reasonable budget, they can afford good salaries for the likes of Abhishek Yadav, Climax Lawrence, Yusuf Yakubu, Ashutosh Mehta, Nicolau Rodrigues.
Khalid also has a Bhimal Ghosh esque scam running with players salaries, a lot of players in the past who have fallen out with him have faced delayed payments and most of the non-regulars will have the money kept back by him.
Him and Mukul have made plenty by conning the owners/players over their salaries over the past 5 years.

Guys like him epitomise all that is wrong about Indian football, and I'll agree with Snoie that giving Jamil an AFC Pro-License would be a very bad move . Maybe he will call his buddy Rob Baan and Wim and tell them ;))
