if aiff is not able to afford reputed coaches, then best option would be karim bencherifa...this guy is my best choice from i-league coaches
what a way turnaround he been able to do with his salgaokar side in recent two seasons
(as i think he will be free for the job after the end of this season)
1)Manuel Gomes
2)Trevor Morgan
3) Karim Bencharifa
for the short term , as they have experience of the I-League and are good motivators of players. Players enjoy playing for these coaches
Add a younger coach as an Asst to groom them for the future ( like FA did with Stuart Pearce )
Then once the standard has improved to a level where we can beat the likes of Philippines etc. then look to bring in the likes of a Troussier or the Dutch master Guus Hidink.
Great coaches would not touch the current Indian team as they are on a hiding to nothing,
Besides whats the point of paying big money , when even Mourinho can't do much with the current quality of I-League players

Pearce was groomed by the English FA??? I am sorry but that is laughable. He is as shit as Harry Redkapp.
I do agree that it is to early for these big guys though.
Also Manuel Gomes did not do well at International level. Morgan maybe and same with Karim but again pressure of biasness and freight of AIFF will make these moves bad.
I like Ash's list. One of them should come in. I would prefer a good German coach.
