  • So, is Soni goin to be the next target for Mohun Bagan next season in the transfer season - considering that he scored against them!!! (This is obviously with the "tradition" which they have been maintaining!)  :D
  • SF Lineup - EB vs Dhanmundi and USC vs MSC.

Oh boy Mohun Began. How low would you go before you bounce back?
  • Nothing doing. Only club in the tournament who played without any striker! So the outcome is just apt!
  • Sabeeth is it he  a striker ??
Shankar Oraon is  he a striker ??
LOL..! They are... Infact, I would like to assume that they are strikers!
However, look at any top five(or even seven) teams of the I-League..how many teams are playing with only Indians as their strike force - u will get the answer!

Sony had played for  Boca Juniors age group team. He seems to be skillful from what i read in the local dailies. But Mohun Bagan would not even dream of him, considering he gets 5.7 crores a season at Dhonmundi

Sony gets equivalent to INR 75,00,000 only. The Total budget of the Bangladeshi team is around equivalent to INR 8 Crores.
  • 5.7 Crore a Season, Is it exaggerated figure.
Seen him yesterday he does not look like even getting 1 crore, He is good with dead ball, have good accuracy too but he is slow and first touch is not great. He is just next Penn Orji (slightly better with set pieces).

Agree completely. For a 5.7 cr, they would hv got an estabished A- League player! Also, if a player is worth 5.7 cr, why the hell would he go and play in Bangladesh!
  • Kolkata media out crying for Karim's head. This is the fucking problem of Kolkata media - they expect the clubs/officials/players to evolve with time, while they remain in the same jurassic age in thier thought process when they fuckn write match reports.

How can a team ,sans any foreigners upfront can even dream of winning  a match, let alone a tournament? Statistics showthis season Odafa has played 15 of the 33 matches that Bagan has played this season. That sums up Bagan's performance for the year.

In the beginning of the year, Karim was given a junior team (5 /6 players in the first eleven are U-23; few are even U-21). From there, the defence has been one of the best amongst all the I - League teams. Midfield is hugely inexperienced, and although Karim has worked hard to get the combination right, but since these guys lack big match experience, they have floundered in crunch matches ( SF of Fed Cup, and yesterday's match); That leaves with strike force , where we all know how Odafa was "instrumental" in not allowing MB officials not to ink a deal with Ranty beginning of the season - else the situation would have been completely different this season. Most importanty, he is still trying to play fucking politics by saying he can recover in about 10 days time - thereby creating confusion and not letting MB to have him kicked out and replace with him Ranty - who is desperate to join MB (not b'cos of anything, but Money!). There is absolutely no rhyme and reason to haul up Karim. What he has done is brilliant under the current context - have created the core team, which Bagan shud look to retain for the next 3 years, and get some quality/utility foreign footballers to deliver (like Cristopher) - there is a huge availabilty of good footballers worldwide, and one need to spend time doing their homework/use proper networking to get them - an too without having to shell out a bagful of money.
